Study 1

Audit of practice, policy and procedure in anticipation and response to the Disability Discrimination Act and the duties under the Race Relations Amendment Act. Development of action plans to support local authorities develop their practice to embrace inclusion.

Study 2

Delivery of training and development, this has embraced both direct delivery of training to practitioners and development of learning materials to enable organisations to train, develop and assess the learning of future employees and those who could not attend the direct delivery sessions.

Study 3

In preparation for Audit Commission inspections we have supported local authorities to prepare self assessments, and undertaken interview preparation (including mock interviewing) with elected members through to first line officers.

Private Sector

Employment Support - Contracted by the Welsh Assembly Government to advise small businesses on their employment practices, this involves detailed work on contracts of employment, recruitment and selection, discipline and grievance, training and development, sickness and absence.

Improving company performance - by focusing on customer care we supported an international manufacturing company to improve performance levels and staff motivation.

Reducing costs and increasing effectiveness - we reviewed and revised training strategy and delivery in a fleet hire company resulting in reduced expenditure, more content staff and higher margins.

Talent identification strategies - these were developed for a medium sized company allowing them to focus their investment on the right people. Key Performance Indicators were determined to enable managers to work through clearly defined development plans. Resource planning was more effective with less time input required and reduced turnover of this critical group due to increased confidence and motivation levels.

Implementation of IT enabled change management - Working within international publishing house enabled seamless implementation of SAP system. Provided change management consultancy including communications, culture change initiatives, facilitation of senior management and team development to enable smooth transition from old to new IT systems.

Voluntary Sector

Study 1

With the implementation of new legislation we worked on an ACAS funded project to raise awareness of Employment Equality Regulations.

Study 2

Audited organisations and developed action plans in organisations preparing for statutory inspections (Care Standards and Quality Assessment Framework for Supported Living).

Study 3

Delivery of training and development as part of mandatory induction training.
